Amazing how far we’ve come in such a short time. Just a couple years ago, many of us would have had to toil and squirrel several months of savings to buy a smartphone. Now one can get a decent performer for less than the cost of a night out.

For most of us, this guy won’t quite make the grade. While the [email protected] is fine, it’s the RAM and ROM that may end up frustrating you – especially if multi-tasking or for someone who likes to have 100+ apps on their phone. Also, the 480*320 3.5″ LCD isn’t exactly something you want to be comparing with your friends’ latest Giz, or showing off to your hot date.

Still, the inclusion of dual-cameras with the rear being 5.0MP, you can’t go wrong for less than $60.┬áThe “Callbar”, equipped with a 1GHz CPU and dual cameras, spec wise, for the everyday smartphone user – or perhaps a gift for the kids, is not a bad recommendation. It will even be able to handle most all apps and basic games such as Fruit Ninja, Angry Birds and maybe even some low end 3D games.
