It seems incredible they can release so many mobiles so quickly, yet we have had zero complaints regarding the brand. While that in itself is no guarantee of a solid mobile, its generally considered a very good sign of quality.

Jumping into the mega-battery skirmish comes the Oukitel K6000. According to Oukitel, the K6000 has a monstrous 6000mAh battery. Lets have a look under the hood.

I’ve found the MT6735 SoC to be very capable; my current main mobile with a similar 720P display is about as quick and smooth as far more expensive, more powerful mobiles.

You might be curious how that’s possible. Part of the reason is the display resolution of 720P, but a larger part of the equation is that Android was created from the ground up to be as efficient as possible, and current SoC technology has reached a threshold, where, unless we’re rendering video or doing extremely CPU intensive tasks (eg, video editing), the difference, if we notice any at all, is negligible, when comparing for example, Snapdragon 810 and MT6735 with general use.

RAM is a solid 2GB. Again, this is beyond what’s needed for Android to run smoothly, and plenty to keep multiple apps open in the background. ROM storage is 16GB, which is enough to install hundreds of apps. The Oukitel K6000 is also TF SD expandable, which means plenty of space for big music collections or video and file storage.

The big highlight of the Oukitel K6000 is its megantic 6000mAh battery, which coupled with the very power efficient MT6735 should give greater than 12 hours typical onscreen use over a period of 24 hours.

If you have a carrier covering the above mentioned frequencies and are looking for a budget mobile with a simply huge battery, consider the Oukitel K6000.
