Ulefone has been around for a couple of years now. Up until recently they were mostly producing Samsung clones, but eventually switched over to their own design with the Ulefone Be Touch. Several months back they released the Ulefone Paris, which bears a similar resemblance to the Be Touch, but with a smaller display.

Up for preview today is the Ulefone Paris X — not to be confused with the Ulefone Paris. We’ll go through the specs of the Ulefone Paris X and then highlight differences between the X and the non-X Paris.

The SoC in the first Paris is MT6753 in the Paris X is MT6735. I’ve reviewed several phones with MT6735 and although this would be considered a downgrade from MT6753, the MT6735 is very capable and runs Android very smoothly.

Another difference is that while the original Paris didn’t support OTG, the Paris X does. In regards to display, the Paris X carries Gorilla Glass 3 2.5D while the original Paris had a standard glass display.

I really like the style of the Ulefone Be Touch and Ulefone Paris. The few times I’ve showed the Ulefone Be Touch to friends, they’ve been wowed by the slim, modern styling which gives an iPhone 6ish aura.

If you’re looking for a 5.0″ mobile in this price range and have a carrier with the bands mentioned above, consider the Ulefone Paris X.
