I really enjoy ES Explorer. Over the years its been my go-to app for file management.

However, ES Explorer’s latest ploy has left a big smile on my face, which, perhaps makes up for the sheer silliness of ES.

What is the latest scheme from ES Explorer? A “charging screen” that according to ES boosts your charging speed by 20%.

At first, I thought it was just one of ES Explorer’s little hype functions: an interesting looking charging display screen that has some more optimistic people than I believing their charging really has been boosted.

A bit later, the plot became fully evident: Advertising.

Note, the “ES charging boost” can be disabled by selecting settings icon I’m the upper-right corner of the charging boost screen.

Some have cited this as an excuse to uninstall ES Explorer. We’re open to this suggestion, which file manager do you recommend?
