Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Pro SOC

Following in the footsteps of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 which carried MediaTek Helio X10, the Redmi Note 4 will feature a MediaTek SoC– Helio X20.

There’s also a rumor circulating that a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Pro version will be announced which will carry MediaTek Helio X25. While there may be a X25 “high” version of Redmi Note 4, we find it unlikely this will be the Pro variant. It’s much more likely that a Pro variant will follow within a couple of months with a Qualcomm SoC, perhaps Snapdragon 820.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 review RAM ROM

According to the source, the Helio X20 Redmi Note 4 will have 3gb of RAM and a huge 64gb storage. RAM is beyond what’s needed for smooth operation and ROM at 64gb can be considered huge and beyond adequate for the casual user and power users alike.

There’s been a rumor that a 4gb 128gb Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Pro version will be announced as well. There very will may be a 4gb 128gb version announced, but it’s unlikely this will be dubbed “Pro” unless its carrying a Qualcomm SoC.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 review camera

Previously there was a rumor that the Redmi Note 4 would have a dual-camera system, but it looks like that’s not the case according to the spec shot.

The camera will carry a 13mp rear sensor with phase detect auto-focus (PDAF), and a 5mp front sensor for selfies and video chat.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 battery life

The battery will be 4100mAh, the same juice as what was included in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and XRN3 Pro. This is a huge amount of juice for such a slim mobile and guesstimating should give 6-7 hours SOT through 12-24 hours.

This is one area where Xiaomi has excelled and put themselves in the front of the pack in the mid-range priced mobiles. We see a lot of interesting China phones coming out, but for the most part they are carrying 3000mAh batteries. While 3000mAh is a fair amount of juice, it’s hard to deny the attractiveness of the extra 1000mAh in a great all-around package at similar or cheaper pricing than competitors. Good job Xiaomi.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 review OS

The Redmi Note 4 will come with Android 6.0 overlaid with MIUI 8.
