Oukitel is now joining the bezelless crowd with the Oukitel Mix 2. This area is getting crowded rather quickly and now includes the likes of Doogee Mix, Doogee Mix 2, Bluboo S1, Elephone S8, Vernee Mix 2, Xiaomi Mi Mix, and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.

We’ve reviewed several of these and coming soon we will have the review of Vernee Mix 2. For now, we take a look at what the upcoming Oukitel Mix 2 is offering.

NOTE: Oukitel is a paid sponsor of Chinaphonearena. However, they have not requested any sort of preview and have not offered any phone for review. I take the time to write this out because, as of now, I believe in the company.

Interestingly, we see Oukitel specs are showing it as MTK6757V, and likely MT6757CH if we go by 2.39GHz. I’m long past the P20 vs P25 argument. There’s no winning there, as MediaTek refuses to lay it out. What’s important here is that Oukitel is correctly stating the SoC, as opposed to some (Ule…ahem T1) which are actually faking their SoC in software.

In regards to “truth”, Oukitel is at the top of the heap. While we have some brands faking SoC, battery specs, and camera sensor specs, Oukitel gives the real deal. There’s a reason for that: They aren’t some fly-by-night company. Their parent company is Shenzhen Yunji Intelligent Technology Co., LTD., which have been in the mobile business since 2007.

They’ve also began including Gyroscopes and Compasses in all recent models, which is a nice step up. We’ve tested the batteries of both the K6000+ and the K3 and found them to be true 6000mAh.

We see the price is a bit higher than a lot of the bezelless out there, but we know that we’re getting what’s promised.

If you’re interested in the Oukitel Mix 2, there is a coupon bringing it down to $229.99 with code “oukmix2”.
