zp998-mtk6592-1It’s a common tradition for Zopo to give their phones an English name. In this case, the long awaited ZP998 has been dubbed Zopo ZP998 ‘Next’.

A very cool name in our opinion, and very fitting seeing that it will be the first of their line with MTK6592.

Zopo had their release party several weeks back, but the phone still isn’t available for purchase. A huge jumping of the gun, or perhaps just a stunt to get our attention.

We still feel the Zopo ZP998 Next will be a phone to keep an eye on, but it’s got a lot of competition from the already released THL T100S.

The Mlais MX69 Pro is a huge contender as well. It’s official factory specs show it has being 850/900/1900/2100 WCDMA, which if it turns out to be true, will make it the first MTK phone to have all 4 bands.
