At this point, Cubot can be considered one of the veteran China brands. They haven’t been around as long as brands such as Jiayu and THL, but came onto the scene about the same time as iNew and Doogee were becoming prominent.

Up for preview today is the Cubot P11. The P11 carries the MT6580 SoC, which according to MediaTek uses 25% less juice than it’s predecessor — MT6582.

I’m sure I’ve mentioned this in several recent posts, but let’s put it out there again — it’s great to see this rash of 5.0″ devices coming.

On top of the nice size, the display is 720P, which gives us a solid PPI of 293. The battery is 2200mAh, which should allow for about 6 hours onscreen time over a 12 hour period.

Stylewise, the Cubot P11 is looking great. Very square and with some slick looks applied. The price is excellent as well. 2 years back, a similarly specced phone would have set us back $200, now we can have mobiles such as the Cubot P11 for a fraction of that.
