Mlais is one of the better known China brands and have been around for quite awhile. They are especially well known in China to budget phone enthusiasts.
All of the recent Mlais phones I’ve reviewed come as recommended. Actually, my current main mobile is made by Mlais.
Up for preview today is the reduced in price Mlais M9. This mobile is one of the first sub-$100 phones coming with an octa-core CPU, 1GB RAM and worth recommending.
Mlais M9 specs specifications
SoC: MT6592M
CPU: 8-core Cortex-A7@1.4GHz
GPU: Mali-450
RAM: 1GB
ROM storage: 8GB
OS: Android 4.4
Display: IPS 5.0″@540 (960×540)
Battery: 2100mAh (removable)
Dual-SIM: Yes
OTG: Yes
TF SD expandable: Yes
2G GSM: 850/900/1800/1900
3G WCDMA: 850/2100
Some may scoff at the 1GB RAM, but truly this combined with the great MT6592 SoC is enough to run Android very smoothly. It may not be able to keep as many apps in memory as 2GB RAM, but it’s still enough to keep Android running butter.
Indeed, most users would be hard pressed to tell the difference between 1GB and 2GB. Take a look at the short video here to see how responsive the M9 is.
Along with the somewhat budget specs, the Mlais M9 comes at an outstanding price. It’s an excellent choice as a backup mobile, as a mobile for the kids or parents, or even as your main handset. Really the price is exceptional and makes it an almost disposable purchase.
Those looking for a budget phone, that have a carrier which covers the above mentioned frequencies, can confidently consider the Mlais M9.

I got the Mlais M9 Pro phone from GearBest. Everything is good (especially screen), BUT – GPS IS NOT WORKING! It sees satellites (9-14), but NEVER get fixing them! Can there be something done to fix this? I suppose – may be newer firmware can fix this! Any suggestions? And what is difference between “Mlais M9” and “Mlais M9 Pro”?
