About a year back, Asus released their very popular Zenfone 2 with the Intel Z3560 and Z3580 SoC. Another well known brand, Lenovo, has now also released, specwise, a very similar mobile– Lenovo K80M aka P90.

Previewing and reviewing so many phones as we do here at Gizbeat, seldom am I intrigued by the plethora of mobiles that come and go; this isn’t the case with the Lenovo K80M / P90– it has several special things about it that makes it a very viable choice for those looking in the $150-200 price range.
Taking a look at the specs, we see a nice-sized 4000mAh battery, NFC– which is rarely included in phones at this price point, gyroscope– another often left out feature from our typical China brands and 4-band WCDMA, and TF SD expandable storage. That’s all good stuff, but what really sets this phone apart is the huge RAM and ROM at the current special price of $185.
Combine the excellent RAM and storage specs, the beyond solid component set, Lenovo’s good name, along with the tantalizing price point– you can color me interested.
It’s not all gravy. It’s single-SIM and Android 4.4 puts in slightly behind the times, but KitKat isn’t some ancient OS; it wasn’t but a year ago that KitKat was king of the candy hill. I’ll also note that there has been a Lenovo K80M Lenovo P90 Marshmallow Android 6.0 custom ROM released with positive feedback, though take this with a grain of salt as I haven’t personally tested this ROM.
Of course, we all have different needs and I can understand the need by some for the dual-SIM setup, but if you can look past this one shortcoming and are in the market for a powerfully specced mobile at the current very nice price point, put the Lenovo K80M on your shortlist.

Note there are 2 different hardware setups with this phone-- 2GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. The one in this link leads to the high version.
