Redmi note 3 pro REVIEW

User Rating: 9

Well, a short review (as some added details to chinaphonearena review):

signal great, microphone (two of them) great at calls, speaker not to loud but good (with earphones we have very very good sound though). Call quality for me is superb (without Volte feature at my area). Wifi too. GPS is just phenomenal! Less than 5sec lock outdoors (and even indoors) without data (or any other help). Screen is good enough (even under sunlight but needed a slight more “peek” for those occasions). Vibrant colours, nice contrast without led “blooms” or uniformity issues. But it’s not up there with some flagships…

Speed is FAST! I mean super fast for a mobile at this price range! That SD650 is certainly way better than Helio x10 (mostly due to the much better GPU) in most cases, MIUI runs like “butter” (as already commented on the review).

Build quality is nice! Aluminium gives this phone elegance and style… I prefer CNC machined though (a personal preference) but find nothing wrong in RN3 case!

Fingerprint sensor works like a charm… I have found though that loading the phone much makes this feature a little less stable (takes more time to unlock and maybe a little more inaccurate at times) but really, nothing much to complain about!

Battery life is superb (8 hour SOT even at good use). Especially considering that most phones with big batteries have slow SOC’s (like MTK 6735 or even 6753, which is not slow but nowhere near Helio line socs) but again not impressive battery life!

Camera is good. On daylight it’s as good as any flagship out there! 16mp (real ones, not interpolated), nice colors. It lacks a bit on dynamic range (personal opinion) and “auto” mode is not as good. Manual lacks many adjustments. On nights scenes or indoors photos do lack contrast and get too noisy.

That’s about all for that! Some last notes:

every sensor working great except that light adaptor sensor to adjust brightness… It’s either a “cheapy” sensor or some firmware errors but after so many updates all this time i’ve read nothing that makes it better. Glass on the front is scratch-resistant. Like gorilla glass but without the “brand” behind! Unlock is easy but needs DEV roms to work (and many get network errors still).  Unfortunately flashing official roms will re-lock bootloader so anyone who want official roms are commented not to unlock it!

That’s all folks, thanks for reading.
